Media darlings and fresh new faces of the democratic party, the Squad represents the democrats’ headfirst dive towards political extremism. These four young, freshman congresswomen have decided to team up because of their shared intersectionality (which the left views as virtuous).
Each member has become popular because of their relative youth and extremely “progressive” policies. The more that these members speak, the more it becomes alarmingly clear that each congresswoman in this group is intolerant, ignorant, and morally reprehensible. Let’s take a look at the specifics.
Alexandra Ocasio Cortez
AOC stands out as the star of the Squad. She is beloved by the mainstream media outlets and has continued to grow in popularity since her election in mid-2018. Weaponizing her youth, ethnicity, and gender helped her upset the 10-term incumbent Joe Crowly. Since then, she has made a long list of ridiculous statements and policy proposals.
The Green New Deal
Proposed by Alexandra Ocasio Cortez, the Green New Deal was lauded by the left as a beacon of hope that could help us build toward the future. In reality, it was a communist wish list that had more to do with wealth redistribution than environmental protection.
The bill called for every single building in America to be rebuilt and to have high-speed railroads replace all air travel. It also includes eliminating cow farts (yes, it actually says this), and giving economic security to all citizens who are unwilling to work.
When called on these ridiculous facts, Cortez’s camp initially denied that they were true, claiming it was fake news attacks from the right. Then, as the truth became more clear, Cortez’s story changed, and she claimed that the wrong draft had been uploaded.
Pretty much every Democratic nominee for president endorsed the bill, including Corey Booker, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, and Bernie Sanders.
Under the form of some sort of large scale solution for climate change; It appears the Green New Deal wants to do is give the government control over everything in hopes that it will fix all our problems. Just like the many Communist countries from the 20th Century that murdered millions of their citizens.
Factually Correct VS Morally Right
AOC has made many ridiculous statements since her election. “The world is gonna end in twelve years if we don’t address climate change… this is our World War II.” “Unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs.” There’s no debate as to whether we should continue producing fossil fuels. There’s no debate.”
That last statement shows how willing Ocasio Cortez is to have an intellectual discussion with those who disagree with her. This is most likely due to a mixture of both intolerance and ignorance.
Take her stance on Israel, for example. AOC has repeatedly stated that Israel is oppressing the people of Palestine, specifically calling the situation an Israeli occupation. When pressed about what she meant by “occupation,” the congresswoman backpedaled feigning, or more likely admitting, ignorance. “I’m not the expert on geopolitics on this issue.”
By far, the most telling of AOC’s statements came from an interview with Anderson Cooper. When Cooper called Cortez on some false statistics, she had been sharing, and the freshman congresswoman defended herself by saying the following. “I think there’s a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right.”
Who determines what’s morally, right? Alexandra Ocasio Cortez, of course.
The second most popular member of the Squad, Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, is the newly elected representative of Minnesota’s 5th congressional district. Although her statements have not been as stupid as Cortez’s, they have been much more racist.
Ilhan Omar seems hell-bent on her crusade against the nation of Israel. Her comments on the Jewish state reveal a deeper hatred bubbling under the surface. Among some of her statements about Israel are, “Israel has hypnotized the world,” “May Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel,” and lastly, she stated American support for Israel is “all about the Benjamins baby.”
A common anti-Semitic trope is that the Jewish people are evil influencers using their wealth to control the world. Such rhetoric is both used by white supremacists and the Nazi party.
Omar also supports an organization known as BDS, which has the admitted intent of dismantling and destroying Israel through boycott, divestment, and sanctions.
She has refused to condemn Hamas, Al Qaeda, or various other terror organizations. In a now-infamous speech, Omar described the 9/11 attacks as “some people did something.”
The congresswoman is also very proud of her support of an organ organization known as CAIR, which has a long history of support for terror groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.
A congresswoman in Michigan’s 13th congressional district, Tlaib has much in common with Ilhan Omar. Their views on Israel and support for shady organizations are in lockstep.
In January of 2018, one of Tlaib’s key campaign fundraisers shared a video calling Jews “satanic” and denying the Holocaust.
The leadership of the Women’s March turned out to have several members who were seriously anti-Semitic. Despite the near-universal consensus from both sides condemning these women, Tlaib rushed to their defense.
She also, like Omar, supports the BDS movement in hopes of destroying Israel. She supports Palestine even though its people democratically elected the terror group Hamas. It is important to note that Hamas’ charter includes language explicitly stating its purpose is the destruction of all Jews.
Tlaib’s district is notorious for being a hotbed of domestic terrorism. Its number of groups supporting and recruiting terrorism is a startling fact. In her words, she says she’s more of a Palestinian in congress than she is anywhere else. She proves it with her support of Hamas.
Much like Omar, Tlaib is an avid supporter of CAIR and has even spoken at the CAIR Chicago benefit.
Tlaib has befriended, met with, and even taken pictures with well-known supporters of organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas. She refuses to denounce those terrorist supporters or the photos she took with them.
The Ringo of the group, Ayanna Pressley, does not get as much press as the above-listed congresswomen. Nonetheless, this Massachusett’s representative proves to be just as shocking.
During a liberal conference back in July, Pressley made some stunning, racist comments. The congresswoman stated that Democrats don’t need “any more black faces that don’t want to be a black voice.”
Essentially, if you’re an African American that doesn’t agree with . all of Presley’s positions, she’ll take away your black card.
In more recent news, Pressley participated in an Anti-Kavanaugh protest on Sunday. This protest was set on the one year anniversary of Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
Despite that total and utter lack of evidence, Pressley continues the Democratic attacks and baseless accusations claiming Kavanaugh is a rapist. She continues to push for his removal from the Supreme Court bench vigorously.
