ISIS Claims Responsibility for Easter Terror Attack

ISIS the terrorist group claimed responsibility for the bombing attacks in Sri Lanka that killed around 321 people on Easter Sunday. The bombings occurred at churches and hotels.

Sri Lankan minister of defense Ruwan Wijewardene claims the attacks were retaliation for the terrorist attack in Christchurch, New Zealand against Muslims. Fifty people were killed in that attack. Although he wasn’t able to offer any evidence he did state to parliament that, “The preliminary investigations have revealed that what happened in Sri Lanka was in retaliation for the attack against Muslims in Christchurch.”

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe let people know that there were more explosives out there, acknowledging that the government had known and failed to act based on a tip and few warnings they had received.
