Abimbola “Abel” Osundario, one of the two brothers who admitted to police they were paid by “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett to set up a racist, anti-gay hate crime against Smollett won an amateur boxing title. Abel Osundario won the first round of the annual Chicago Golden Gloves boxing championship by a technical knockout. He won in the division for fighters age 21-35 who have less fighting experience at the 178lbs weight; the senior novice division.
Chicago police now know Smollett paid Osundario and his brother Olabinjo, “Ola”, Osundairo $3500 for the orchestrated attack because Smollett wanted a larger pay raise and hoping to promote his career further along. Smollett who still claims the attack was real was hit was 16 counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly making false reports to police. The Chicago Police Department sued Smollett in civil court for wasting police resources.
