Police Interrogate Man For Liking “Anti-Transgender” Tweet

Police in the U.K. interrogated Harry Miller for almost 30 minutes after he “liked” a tweet that was seemingly mocking to the transgender community.

Miller, stated that the probe was to get into his “thinking” and to know his reasons for liking the limerick on Twitter. The limerick regarded transgender as stupid, and mad comments about vaginas.

Miller, who is also a former policeman, stated that an officer claimed he was investigating reports of a hate crime.

Miller recalls, “Cop said he was in possession of 30 tweets by me..asked if any contained criminal material. He said “No.” ‘I asked if any came close to being criminal and he read me a limerick. Honestly. A limerick. A cop read me a limerick over the phone.”

When he explained to the officer that he was not the originator of the post, the officer said, ” It’s not a crime, but it will be recorded as a hate incident.”

He also claims he was lectured on transgender people with the officer stating, “Sometimes, a woman’s brain grows a man’s body in the womb and that is what transgender is.” Miller claimed that the officer continued to be threatening by telling him he needed to be careful with his words or else be at risk of losing his job.
