Democrats seem to be desperate during these campaign times as they are reporting fake news and being shut down by the vice president Mike Pence. Democratic rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thought it was okay to compare the U.S. Customs and Border Protection detention facilities to concentration camps, and she still does.
It shows here that Ocasio-Cortez said: “The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are,” Ocasio-Cortez falsely stated in a social media live video. “They are concentration camps. And, um, if that doesn’t bother you, I don’t, I don’t know, I like, we can have, okay whatever.” Which to me sounds like she is pulling things out of the air and trying to put down our system when most are aware the U.S. Customs is nowhere near to being the same thing as concentration camps. To even compare the two is quite disrespectful and distasteful.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum did not like what they heard and addressed the situation with the following statement :
It clearly shows how uneducated the left side is when it comes to History, they have no grasp on it.
The Republican party is not going to let this go unnoticed, as Vice President Mike Pence called them out, without using names, but it’s quite clear who he is referring to.
“We must never allow the memory of those lost in the Holocaust to be cheapened as a cliche to advance some left-wing political narrative,” Pence said. “Sadly in recent weeks, that’s exactly what some Democrats have done in the national debate. Last month, a leading Democrat in Congress actually compared our U.S. Customs and Border Protection detention facilities to concentration camps. And her allies in Congress, the Left, and the media shamefully came to her defense.”
She tried quoting Evita Peron (Second wife to Argentine President Juan Peron, also a national heroine still after Dying from cancer 60 years ago) which backfired and was shut down by many people saying she should read a book or get educated because Mrs.Peron helped aide Nazi soldiers who fled Europe. Also, it’s still suspected that she still possessed pieces of Nazi treasure, which came from wealthy Jewish families killed in concentration camps.
If you’re wondering whether or not she has apologized for the analogies or not, she hasn’t, in fact, she hasn’t stopped either. She seems to have done the exact opposite and has been using the term “concentration camps” more often.
