News is making the rounds that President Trump’s daughter and adviser to the President, Ivanka Trump, has been named as a keynote speaker for the annual Consumer Electronics Show; the event is regarded as one of the largest and most significant tech-industry events. Ivanka will join a keynote discussion regarding jobs, the job market, and what lies on the horizon for workers in the United States and around the world in the ever changing landscape of cutting edge technology.
In a statement put out by Ivanka Trump after being awarded the honor of speaking at CES, the President’s daughter had this to say, “CES has consistently proven to be one of the most influential technology events in the world and I am excited to join this year for a substantive discussion on the how the government is working with private-sector leaders to ensure American students and workers are equipped to thrive in the modern, digital economy.”
Gary Shapiro, head of Consumer Technology Assn. (CTA) the organization which organizes CES, will be the one to join Ivanka Trump on stage for her segment. Shapiro had this to say about working with the President’s daughter, ““As a business leader and entrepreneur, Ivanka Trump is an advocate for creating family-sustaining jobs through workforce development, education and skills training. We welcome her to the CES keynote stage, as she shares her vision for technology’s role in creating and enabling the workforce of the future.”
CES 2020 will take place January 7-10 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
