Hello everyone, I’m (Jane Eguiluz) covering for (Antonio Jimenez) this week, here to give you your “Weekend Roundup.” It’s been a hectic week, from the Epstein investigations, Congresswomen getting banned from Israel to Planned Parenthood trails…There’s a lot going on so we will dive right in!
Planned Parenthood Fails At Getting What It Wants
Planned Parenthood head administrators have been threating to pull away from the federal funding program by the end of day Monday, August 19, meaning a loss of $60 million yearly for the group. By withdrawing, they will be able to continue to refer women for abortions. However, those absent funds for their pro-abortion and baby-parts business would have to come from private funding sources, and it is questionable how that might work out.
The Department of Health and Human Services are the ones who drew up this deadline to submit plans on how members in the Title X family preparation program will comply with the rules, which is set for Sept.18th.
It is possible the legal dispute will pass on to the U.S. Supreme Court, though some legal analysts theorize that Planned Parenthood may not want to risk a resounding pro-life decision from the conservative-dominated high court. Planned Parenthood has insisted it will not stop referring or providing abortions. But if it exits the program and the rule remains in place, the union said many patients would be left without access to family planning services. The White House is certainly making good on promises to anti-abortion voters, as pro-lifers have long fought that abortion providers should not receive federal money.
The Mystery Of Epstein’s Death
Epstein’s death has aroused a lot of questions, the main one being if his ‘suicide’ was in fact a suicide. We’ve heard alligations that a cellmate killed him, that the Clintons had something to do with it, or that maybe it was just a real suicide. With his extensive and ‘popular’ background, it could be anyone trying to cover their a**.
Apparently only one of the two police officers guarding Jeffrey Epstein when he allegedly hung himself in his federal jail cell was a full-fledged correctional officer. Not one of the two guards had checked on Mr. Epstein for many hours before he was found dead, law-enforcement officials stated. Epstein’s death would not put an end to the investigation. They will still be investigating other individuals who might have assisted him with trafficking teenage girls for sex.
Epstein was held anticipating trial on federal sex-trafficking charges while being held he attempted to commit suicide on the 23rd of July. Just two weeks after his attempt, he was taken off suicide watch, which is when he allegedly carried out his plan and committed suicide. After suicide watch, Epstein was housed in 9 South, a safe unit in one of the prison’s most confining and restricting wings. His cellmate was transferred not too long before, leaving him alone in his cell. They were supposed to have someone housed with him after the transfer, in his ‘alone time’ he used a bedsheet to hang himself, as reported by the guard who was there making his morning rounds who found Epstein dead in his cell around 6:30 A.M. Declining to comment on this case, The Bureau of Prisons.
More than 2,000 sheets of documents showed alleged allegations of sexual abuse upon Epstein’s striking and high up associates. He has been connected to many high-powered connections including, President Donald Trump, Prince Andrews, George Mitchell, Bill Richardson, and Bill and Hillary Clinton. Within an hour of Epstein’s death being made publicly known, the hashtag #ClintonBodyCount was trending on Twitter:
The unsealed documents drop light on accusations that could involve “numerous prominent American politicians, foreign presidents, a well-known prime minister, powerful business executives, and other world leaders.” A “former president” was listed anonymously in the documents. Some of the names include powerful Democrats, a member of President Bill Clinton’s cabinet former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, and Senate Majority George Mitchell.
Congresswomen, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib, Banned From Israel
Interior Minister Aryeh Deri banned U.S. congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib from entering into Israel. Deri suggested that the congresswomen use their political powers to stir up boycotts and she wanted no part of that for her country. On top of that, the two congresswomen have expressed their hate for the Jewish State.
These two Muslim Congresswomen are the first two Muslim women who have been elected into Congress. have both supported boycotts of Israel and have been actively promoting the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction (BDS) movement. Their passionate and eager support for the BDS movement means that under Israeli law they can be justifiably banned from entering. Their ruthless hostility towards Jews and Israel has been a constant theme with their anti-Semitic rhetoric. They have also voiced support on various occasions for pro-Palestinian actions which contradict Israel’s supremacy.
However, Tlaib requested from Deri for granted visit to enter the West Bank to visit her 90-year-old grandmother, along with her other relatives.” This might be my last chance to see her. I will respect any restrictions and will not encourage boycotts against Israel during my visit,” Tlaib wrote Deri. Deri approved Tlaib’s visit and granted her to come to Israel to visit her family; however, she would be watched and could not start any boycotts.
Tlaib, later on, said she would not accept the permitted visit to see her grandmother in Isreal’s West Bank after the Jewish nation granted her entry to do so under humanitarian conditions. The House of Representatives powerfully passed a verdict rejecting the BDS campaign targeting Israel In July, a measure Tlaib and Omar voted against. The resolution, formally known as House Resolution 246, also called for further security assistance to Israel.
Death Threats Made To ICE
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have been dealing with threats from rebels. When Antifa supporter Van Spronsen, 69, fired shots at an ICE facility as well as causing a large fire, is when the increase in threats against ICE workers came about. If the fire was bad enough, it could have taken the lives of hundreds. The ICE facilities are not the only ones receiving those threats; a private contractor that was once used by ICE, (GEO Group) employees are also receiving threats.
There was a shooting at An ICE office and GEO Group office in San Antonio, Texas, in what the FBI is now calling a targeted attack. Shots were fired at an ICE building around 3 A.M, while another shooting happened at another bureau where the ICE contractors are located.
