Muslim Scholar Praises Trump For Defending Religious Freedom

Unlike his predecessors, President Trump and his administration have accomplished more to defend religious freedom worldwide according to a Muslim scholar. One of the Council members on Foreign Relations glorified the remarkably aggressive U.S. forces to protect the religious freedom of individuals worldwide, seeing that he has done more than even previous Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, particularly in protecting Christians who are the most persecuted and judged religious group.

“This president, in particular, more than our last, Obama and more than former President George Bush, has been committed to defending the religious rights of Christians. The U.S. and President Trump have especially empowered those Christians to prosecute the ISIS perpetrators, genociders, and go after them until kingdom come, which is great. But we need to proceed to do more, but I think the president is capable of accomplishing that,” Dr. Qanta Ahmed told Fox News host Pete Hegseth.

After last month, the administration’s second Ministerial to further push and Advance Religious Freedom in Washington, D.C. Ahmed made her comments. This event had the largest gathering of persecuted believers from all over the globe.

Ahmed regarded that despite the persecution of Christians in Iraq and other Islamic countries, it is countries like North Korea and China, which continue to be the worst offenders of them all.
Christians are the minority in Muslim nations, but their presence in these areas is vital.

If Christians can survive in the Muslim-majority countries, democracy can survive,” Forty % of the Christians around the world now reside in the Americas. The United States is a huge safe place and sanctuary for Christianity. So if Christians are notwithstanding, democracy is not surviving.” The writer of “In The Land of Hidden Women” added.

It was pointed out by Hegseth how past non-religious dictators actually protected Christians, and the “tragedy” of having someone like the former dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, rule and have Christians somewhat more secure and safe than they are now in the present day. Ahmed answered with; “That is because of the complete failure of governance in Iraq.”

Hegseth firing back with the question, “why Islamists target Christians and Jews despite them being noted in Islam as “people of the book?” Ahmed answered with “Islamists are targeting them due to vulnerability and how they follow fabricated totalitarianism that is demonizing not only Christians but things completely sacred to Muslims.”

Trump and his team have made religious freedom one of there top priorities, standing up on several occasions to protect religious freedom with even formal creation of a religious liberty task force last year. The U.S. ambassador-at-large for worldwide religious freedom and a former senator, Sam Brownback, sponsored the 1998 International Religious Freedom Act. But he said the issue of religious liberty was far from a priority for the White House until Trump arrived.

He stated in an interview, “Nobody would really tend it, but then Trump and his administration came along. There’s going to be more freedom of assembly, more press freedom. If we get it right, there’s going to be more free speech that’s taking place.”
