Trump vs Iran: “They Will be Held Fully Responsible”
Following the violent protests by rioters at the US embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, President Donald Trump has issued a solemn warning to Iran whose military proxies are believed to be responsible for the destruction at the embassy. The protests followed a series of US airstrikes aimed at armed forces in the area; those airstrikes in turn were a response to a rocket attack on US allied forces in Iraq.
Iran is believed to be at the core of the violence against United States allied forces which led to the death of an American civlian contractor as well as the destruction of resources and injuries to many of the Iraqi coaltion forces.
The Iraqi Prime Minister has also assured Secretary of State Mike Pompeo that the Iraqi government will provide as many resources to aid in the defense of American assets in the country as is possible. “Iraqi security forces will respond to any act of aggression or harassment against foreign embassies in Iraq, and those responsible will face the full force of the law,” the Iraqi PM went on to say.
